I am a ceramic artist and lifelong maker. Currently, clay is my primary medium—creating both functional and sculptural pieces, often wheel-thrown and then altered to explore form, texture, and movement.
While ceramics grounds my practice, I work across many materials. I knit, sew, paint, print, and make jewelry. I restore, repurpose, and experiment with new crafts and art forms. When I need something, I try to make it—clothing, props, cards, specialty cakes. I approach every project as a creative challenge, and I truly believe I can make anything I set my mind to.
Inspiration comes from everyday life: current events, places I visit, people I meet, and the beauty in ordinary moments. I love to collaborate with other artists, designers, and writers, and find energy in shared creative work.
Making is how I process the world. Whether through clay, fiber, metal, or paper, my work is about connection, storytelling, and the joy of creating.
I hold a BFA in Metalsmithing from Syracuse University (1995) and have been making ever since.
